This is a basic avalanche awareness course and is aimed at anyone wishing to travel in the mountains. The programme consists of one evening lecture and a practical field day. The course covers all the basics in regard to avalanche awareness and includes self and peer rescue, transceiver searching, group avalanche rescue scenarios training. The aim is to raise the awareness of avalanche danger and to improve the chances of survival when travelling through avalanche terrain. All instructors are professional ski patrollers and are highly skilled in avalanche phenomenon.
